Major League Gaming Launches Weekly eSports Report Tonight
It's been a busy week for Major League Gaming. Yesterday, we reported that the league struck a new partnership with media group Relativity. Today, MLG is launching a new weekly news show focused on competitive gaming.
The eSports Report will be hosted by Chris Puckett and Desi Sanchez. The format recaps competitions, highlights pro gamers, and previews upcoming competitive titles.
You can check out a preview below. The eSports Report airs on Thursday evenings at 7 pm Eastern on MLG.tv.
Our Take
A show like this could help bridge audiences that are new to eSports into watching events. As a newcomer, it's hard to keep up with the action and the commentary. For fans, it's also a way to check in on what they missed and see highlights without scrubbing through tons of archived footage. I'm interested to see how this evolves.
