The lights are on
20th Century Fox has filed a trademark for Alien: Isolation that covers video games and other doodads.
Apart from covering what we hope is a video game, the trademark also covers eyeglasses, "mobile software applications," ringtones, decorative magnets, and more.
Although the trademark was filed by 20th Century Fox, the film company did the same on the behalf of Sega for Aliens: Colonial Marines.
Could this be the long-awaited Sega Alien game by strategy studio Creative Assembly?

Our Take:While Gearbox's Colonial Marines was not a good game, it doesn't mean that Creative Assembly or anyone else can't do something productive with the franchise. A job listing at Creative Assembly appeared last year for a next-gen Alien title, so hopefully today's news is another step in the right direction.

Fans will be truly happy. More aliens is good (Yes... Even CM was for me)
I hope this isn't a sequel, and just a redo. I say redo, because it doesn't necessarily have to be a remake of Colonial Marines, not at all. I didn't play Colonial Marines due to hearing that it messed with canon pretty bad, and I found that unfortunate, so hopefully it won't be butchered here.
If you couldn't tell already, I love the Alien franchise!! I actually enjoyed the 2010 AvP game. I didn't play A:CM just because I heard it was really bad, but I still might pick it up at some point for really cheap just to check it out. Anyway, I hope they can make a really good Alien game!
As long as they care about the project and not just throw it together like Gearbox did Colonial Marines.....I havent seen a quality Alien themed game in years.
The moment you said 'game' I lost all interest. This is one franchise I love that people just can't seem to make fun games around... except that Jaguar game. That was pretty amazing. In fact, I am going to buy another Jaguar just so I can play my copy.
