The lights are on
Major League Gaming (MLG) has opened ticket sales for its upcoming Dota 2 and Call of Duty: Black Ops II Invitational events to be held at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. The events include $10,000 each for first place in Dota 2 and Black Ops II, with $5,000 going to the second-place finishers.
Spectator passes are $15 per day. A $100 VIP pass option is also available, giving access to both days of the event, reserved up-front seating, a behind-the-scenes tour, and an MLG hoodie. The events will also be streamed online (schedule to come).
The Dota 2 event, which takes place on October 18, 2013, will give the winning team a bid in the MLG Fall Championship. The Black Ops II competition on October 19, 2013, will net participants at least 2,000 pro points each.

Our TakeMy only experience with live competitive gaming came at PAX 2013, and it was far more enjoyable than I expected. If you've got the least bit of interest in either of these two games and have a way to be in Winter Park, Florida during on October 18 and 19, you're in for a lot of fun.

I have too much work to do to take off at that time. But I'll keep up with it online of course.
