The lights are on
EA Sports' free-to-play (with microtransactions) Ultimate Team mode is addictive, and Madden NFL 25 developer EA Tiburon is working to let you keep your progress in the mode if you move from the current-gen version to the next-gen one.
Ultimate Team players who own the current-gen version of Madden NFL 25 will get to transfer up to 1,100 UT items over to the next-gen version (naturally only from PS3 to PS4 and Xbox 360 to Xbox One). This is a one-time move that requires an online connection, an EA Origin account, and a PSN or Xbox Live account. You'll get to transfer up to 55 players, 45 items, and 1,000 reserve items in the migration. Once transferred, you can still use your UT cards on your current-gen system, but you will not be able to trade or auction them.
Furthermore, if you own the Madden NFL 25 Anniversary Edition for the current generation, you will get six UT All Pro packs for use on a single next-gen console.
Madden NFL 25 comes out on August 27 for current-gen systems and later this year for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Our TakeThis is a great way to help out fans who will be spending money on both versions as well as any Ultimate Team cards – especially since EA is under no obligation to do this. Hopefully it will help evangelize the mode and its growth.

The Graphics looks so pure and it looks Gameplay has been under some major changes that I wish FIFA could have been followed it's path likewise
I love Ultimate Team. Good to know I can play it on the next-gen consoles.
This is nice for the people who were planning on buying both, but why would anyone ever do that?
I'm gonna wait for the ps4, assuming I can get one. (I'll only get one at gamestop, I love me some points) I just hope it's quality, because the last time madden made it's first leap to next gen it sure did look nice, but it played like pure garbage. I also came to the realization that 2014 is gonna burn a huge hole in my wallet. I just got the e3 top 50 gi and I wrote down the games I wanted from the top fifty. There are 7 definite, and a few that i'm on the fence about. I'm fully aware that when I get ff xiv, and then dark souls, that they could last me most of the year, and then I could go back and maybe get the games on the cheap...but they just look so good. My god, I'm a game junkie...
Buying it twice? I haven't even thought of buying it once yet.
Is it possible to create multiple ultimate teams in Madden 12, 13, or will it be in 25?
If so, how?
Free to Play? Don't you have to buy the game to play ultimate team?
Customer asked me this yesterday at work. Glad I told him I guessed it would transfer, but my guess as to how it would was incorrect...
I still havent seen any jetpack or a cyborg John Madden in this Madden 2025 game... = /
