The lights are on
Lego Marvel Super Heroes already features Marvel mainstays like Hulk, Spider-Man, and Wolverine, but Traveller's Tales Games just announced that some other A-list characters will be joining the cast, including Stan Lee.
During a panel at Comic Con, Traveller's Tales Games and Marvel announced that the Lego Marvel Super Heroes roster would included: Doom, Jean Grey, Elektra, Agent Coulson, Magneto, Silver Samurai, Punisher, Beast, Gambit, Storm, Green Goblin, Iron Patriot as a pre-order exclusive, Juggernaut, Squirrel Girl, Rhino, Thing, Vulture, Sabertooth, Invisible Woman, and Howard the Duck. They also announced that Marvel editor in chief Alex Alonso, Marvel chief creative officer Joe Quesada, and comic legend Stan Lee would also be in the game. Traveller's Tales Games promised that this is still only a fraction of the list of characters that will be in the final game.
During a demo of the game, afterwards, we got our hands on many of these characters, including Stan Lee. Traveller's Tales Games said that when they were working to get Lee in the game they asked him what kind of powers he would like to have and he said, “All of them.” So that’s what they did.
Stan Lee has an amazing array of powers. He can swing on spider webs, fire heat vision from his eyes, and transform into a grey-headed Hulk. Using Stan Lee we chased Sandman through Manhattan as he tore apart the metropolis. After shooting him with a reservoir of water and then throwing a cement mixer at him, he finally hardened into a statue and we defeated him.
The game’s recent trailer also shows off Iron Man’s Hulk buster armor. Check out the trailer below, and read our E3 preview for more info.
