The lights are on
Microsoft announced the Xbox One this morning, and revealed the first wave of system specs. The console includes 8GB of DDR3 RAM, a 500GB hard drive, slot loading Blu-ray drive, and more.
As you can see from the screengrab above, the system includes 8GB of system memory, a Blu-ray drive, and an 8-core CPU. Unlike the Xbox 360, which shipped in several different hardware configurations, the Xbox One includes Kinect and a 500GB hard drive by default. The console also has multiple 802.11n radios and an Gigabit Ethernet port.
Rumors about the hardware have been swirling around online for months, and it's nice to finally see something concrete.

Idk what you guys expected its been known for months that PS4 and xbox would have basically the same specs. AMD is making both of their GPUS. What were you expecting?
everyone just stay cool, E3 will tell u everything u need to know
They did not say if that memory is gddr3 or gddr5. That's very alarming since the difference is very significant. Sony came out of the gate saying ddr5 and made a point of it.
Those are hardly specs..... What CPU? What brand of RAM? What are the specs on the hard drive? This is just as bad as asking someone the specs on there computer and they answer with "A monitor, keyboard and mouse".
...only DDR 3 ....my $800 computer is faster....only 500 GB?......blah blah blah blah.....
Thank you Microsoft. The console has sufficient power. I look fowared to its release.
On par with Sony, but the more power consoles grab, the more content I'm with my gaming rig.
i want to know the details of the CPU & GPU
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!
the wii u is now a joke lol
I was giddy the entire time. The Xbox One looks amazing!!!
8 CPU Cores? That's all they tell us? I hope Microsoft realizes that anyone with ANY knowledge in computers knows that you can't base the quality of a processor on how many cores it has.
