The lights are on
There are few things more painful as a football fan than rooting for a team from somewhere else in the country. For those beleaguered by uncooperative local programming schedules, NFL Sunday Ticket has been a godsend, but it's not the most affordable package. EA and DirectTV are looking to make things a bit easier on your wallet this year.
The Madden NFL 25 Anniversary Edition comes packed with a season-long subscription to NFL Sunday Ticket (17 weeks, typically $49.99 per month for five months), which is even usable by those who aren't subscribers to DirectTV (via computers and mobile devices). Additionally, the upgraded version will bestow a new Madden Ultimate Team virtual trading card pack during each week of the regular season. The Anniversary Edition will retail for $99.99 and will be sold only through Amazon.

Not bad, price for returning DirectTV customers is $180. I dropped cable purely to get the ticket and have been a subscriber for 3 years now. Had no plans to get Madden at all, but I might to enable the ticket then sell it used.
My biggest question is since they're calling this year's madden game 25 to celebrate 25 years of making those games, what are they going to call the madden game for the year 2025? Will they just figure nobody will remember by then? haha.
Saw this article, went to Amazon, preordered the game. I need to be able to watch my Redskins in Oregon.
This is the most exciting thing ever! I'm a Colts fan who lives in GA now. I was about to spend $400 to be able to watch my team. Thank you EA. This kinda makes up for you being an evil empire. Kinda......
So for 40 bucks on top of 60 for the game, i get a nfl sunday ticket service for a year? I thought there was a sunday ticket app on ps3. Could we use that too? I would much prefer my HDTV over a computer or a smartphone. Anybody ? Could someone please confirm this, because for some reason i am not sure i fully understand this. What i mean is why would people pay 400 bucks when they can get a video game and a 300 dollar less bill for the same if not better package? I understand this is intended for new users.I just feel like it can be abused. People selling the services for higher or something like that. must say it is tempting if its only 40 bucks for a year plus 10 bucks off if able to recieve direct tv. Another thing though that could pose problems is what if i pre order and then it turns out i am able to recieve the direct tv service but i just want the 17 weeks trial although they dont let me do it. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case. anyway I def. need to speak to one of their representatives before i do anything.
Wow. Definitely dig the Sunday ticket where you can watch the games. Totally worth it!
