The lights are on
Bethesda Softworks released a new sceenshot today on Twitter of Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami's next project, "The Evil Within." The survival horror game was announced last week,
The new screenshot shows a standoff between a character and one deadly enemy, look at all those limbs...and blood. The backdrop looks promising and the lighting is perfect for tension, as seen below.
What do you think of the latest screen? Are you excited for The Evil Within, or do you have reservations? In a generation where most survival horror has been abandoned for action and flash, I'm excited to see what Mikami creates, especially since the tweet paints the game as, "embodying the meaning of pure survival horror." We'll have to wait and see exactly what that means as more details roll out.
The Evil Within has no set release date, but is scheduled for 2014 to hit the PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and nex-gen consoles.

I'm ready for another real survival-horror game so hopefully game is just excellent. ^_^
this screenshot has already been shown several days ago ._.!!
I never play horror games, but this one is dragging me in.
I've never been a big horror fan, but I like Bethesda and this looks pretty cool. Looking forward to seeing how this turns out.
I'm enjoying everything I hear and see about this game.
It's been a while since a game scare the crap out of me so I got high hopes for this.
My body is ready.........
