The lights are on
A video playing off the recent Russian meteor crash may be teasing the XCOM first-person shooter that recently and inexplicably disappeared form the Internet.
Shack News did some research on the video, discovering that the source code page reveals the keyword 'whathappenedin62', which is a domain name that 2K recently registered. The account name for the YouTube video, Veritas MCMLXII, also could be a hint as it is Latin for 'Truth 1962'.
The evidence is, admittedly, pretty thin. The video could be fan made, or completely unrelated to XCOM and all of its relation to XCOM could be entirely incidental. What do you think? Are we going to be hearing more about the XCOM shooter soon?

Hmm, that's pretty thin, you're right.
If this is legit, it's great. If not, I wouldn't be surprised.
Same thing I think every time I see something about this game, if they change the name it might turn into something
i was getting excited about this game until it started to look like it wasn't going to come out, the rts genre isn't for me but i like shooters that have strategy elements to them, and that is what this game looked like
Probably unrelated. But it would be cool if it was.
As a conspiracy video, pretty stupid, as a tease for a game, ingenious. Playing off a real world event, pretty neat. I really hope that the game comes back. The idea was behind it was awesome.
I hope its true, but they need to change the name.
The Syndicate took it down. (X-Files, not the game)
I really hope the base idea doesn't change. It seemed promising, and after Bioshock 2, I trust 2K Marin.
It's a long shot, but one can only hope...
Looks like X-Files.
