Respawn Entertainment Files Trademark For "Titan"

by Mike Futter on Apr 16, 2013 at 02:27 AM

After promising to finally bring their first game to E3 2013, Respawn Entertainment has filed a trademark for something called "Titan." The filing was discovered by NeoGAF user Sn4ke_911.

As you might recall, Respawn was founded by Jason West and Vince Zampella of Infinity Ward. Zampella was CEO and co-founder of the studio, and West had served as president. The two found themselves in conflict with Activision, ultimately resulting in a lawsuit.

The dispute between Activision and EA was settled first, followed by a final end to the legal wrangling when the Call of Duty publisher reached an agreement with West and Zampella. Prior to the conclusion of their case, we had the opportunity to interview the pair about their legal dilemma. In March, it was revealed that Jason West had actually departed Respawn months prior.

We've reached out to EA and Respawn to find out if they have anything to share about what "Titan" might be.
