The lights are on
Sony revealed Japan Studio's upcoming PSN title Rain back at last year's Gamescom, but has been relatively quiet about the project ever since. Today, the company is giving players a six-minute look at the first chapter from the game.
Rain is being developed by PlayStation C.A.M.P., an offshoot of Japan Studio known for its recent work on Tokyo Jungle. Its newest game looks no less unique, placing players in the shoes of an invisible boy who can only be seen in the rain. Last week Sony released a few new stills of Rain, but today's video gives players a better idea of what to expect from the gameplay, as the waterlogged protagonist gets chased through the rainy streets by monsters while trying to find another invisible character, a lost girl.
Rain is coming to PlayStation 3 sometime in 2013.

This looks amazing! Reminds me of Limbo in a way.
I love SONY for supporting these developers with such grand ideas. They may not be action packed, but they instill more emotion than any other games I play. But throwing that Playstation sound byte at the end kind of ruined it.
first 2 minuets i was like, ahhh man this looks like papa and yolo but in the rain. but the creepy monsters make it seem like it could get interesting.
I wonder if I'm even going to be able to see his footprints or anything in standard definition. It seems like you really need to pay attention to know where your character is.
Reminds me of Resident Evil and MGS games
Unique. I'd like to hear more...
Interesting stuff. Props for being unique, though it's not really my style.
This looks really amazing! I can't wait to hear more! I love the atmosphere and the music.
i lol'ed 40 seconds in when he walks over to the really incredibly obvious platforming section and the camera pans to it anyway and gives a music cue. i miss old hard platformers that didn't do this..
