Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey hit its funding goal recently, but that doesn't mean we'll be getting our hands on it any time soon.

With six days left to accept funding, the Dreamfall Chapters Kickstarter has already collected over $1,100,000. The first trailer for the game shows that even at this early stage, the project is coming along nicely. Comparable Kickstarter games are still typically showing off concept art at this point, but Red Thread Games already has 3D models walking around staring wistfully into the sky.

According to the trailer, the journey begin in November 2014.

    I've actually been thinking about getting into this series for some time now. Anyone have opinions of the first two games?

    This is an amazing series. It is hard to explain what it is with words. I mean, there isn't a lot of action, but you stay so engaged with it all because of the story itself. It is dialogue heavy, so its not for those who like to "skip cutscenes". But I could not be more thrilled to see this series continuing! Sad we have to wait for Nov. 2014....kind of hoping they are just giving that date but they really plan on releasing it when it is finished...hopefully way earlier then that!

    if it comes to consoles id love to try it out but sofar its on pc only hopefully they got enough funds to port it and get a publisher

    Day 1 Purchase..actually if you pledge a certain amount, you're supposed to get it before day 1.

    The Longest Journey is one of my favorite series and one of the best adventure games of all time. I'm so happy for the Kickstarter's success (all ready in the top ten funded all-time). The only game I'm looking more forward to is the announced continuation of April's story in The Longest Journey Home- if the campaign gets to 2 million!: www.kickstarter.com/.../417562
