Insomniac Files Trademark For Sunset Overdrive

The developer behind the Resistance and Ratchet & Clank series has filed a new trademark, but Insomniac Games' intentions for the property are still mysterious.

A user on NeoGAF uncovered the filing for Sunset Overdrive, but without any official details, we're left to guess at what the project might be. Is it a new full-scale property for the recently announced PS4? Or something more along the lines of Outernauts?

Responding to an inquiry from Joystiq, Insomniac says: "As you can imagine, we're an idea factory and we submit for trademarks pretty regularly. There's nothing to announce, but thanks for checking in on it."
