The lights are on
Pokemon fans, put down your Nintendo DS and boot up Facebook. Insomniac Games' first social-network game, Outernauts, is all about monster collecting and battling.
My first monster is a white monkey who comes readily equipped with a ferocious "slap" attack. After leveling up once, this adorable killer learned how to throw snowballs.
The game features the great production values you'd expect from an Insomniac game, as well as all of the annoying "share your accomplishments with your friends" messages that come with Facebook interaction. Jump into the game, and let us know what you think of it!
Note: Although the game still says "beta" on its start-up and loading screens, an Insomniac representative says it is no longer in beta.

this and simcity. lol need to tell my mom about these games.
sorry the nostalgic factor is way to high for me for pokemon to ever "sell out" and try something remotely like it, even if it is good...plus its social-networking gaming, two words that shouldn't even be put together, a sad fad that I hope burns in the deepest depths of hell, it's not gaming it's a tragedy
Facebook games are annoying, but... Insomniac!
i dont play FB games but ill try this out. just keep it in the background at work and play whenever my energy spikes in the game. wont waste too much time on it though.
I might actually try this one out.
It's pretty good, much like all other Insomniac projects as well...
Its Pokemon in space and its fun lol
I've been playing for a while in the closed beta and, yeah, this game is awesome. You're a fool if you pass on it just because it's on Facebook.
I want to see Insomniac's Overstrike.
Ugh it's exhausting with it asking me if I want to share every little thing I do. I know you can just hit the X, but damn. Facebook games just blow for the most part.
Cool that it's like Pokemon; lame it's on Facebook.
