  • Well, it looks pretty. I also think it's really cool how they wrote this whole big overhaul into the story and they seem to be taking so much care with it to make sure they don't repeat the same mistakes. It actually has me intrigued to check this out for myself. I hope for the sake of the regular players and for the sake of Final Fantasy's reputation that this does well.
  • Were they riding chickens? man Final Fantasy is so strange. Kind of want to get into it now though.

  • they are riding chocobos lol its a final fantasy thing.

  • It's like beating a dead horse.
  • I saw the new moon and sang "A Whole New World" from Aladdin. As the wolves howled and the crickets cracked, I looked around and asked myself, "Do we really give thanks for all that we have?" Then I went to my table and ate with the Natives. This is my first Thanksgiving in a new world. The Mayflower says hi.
  • I'm impressed. I would definitely be on board if it were a single player game. I never got into mmorpgs. First time for everything though

A million times better than that laughable teaser trailer of deus ex I just saw! I know they are completely unrelated but I can't stop laughing at that trailer and even funnier is that most ppl thought it was, not just good, but amazing! Maybe it was Adam's power of suggestion?
  • I'm intrigued. I really want to explore this world. If they fix all the problems from the disastrous first launch then I would be willing to give this game a second chance.
  • Very excited about this. Been wanting to play it since 1.0, lol. Sadly my old PC said, nope don't think so! But that was probably for the best since we all know how 1.0 turned out to be.

Got a new laptop that will run this, and my PS3 is ready.

    Come on Beta.
  • It kinda reminds me of the older games even though I only played one of 'em. Its a shame the framerate looks terrible and that this game is probably buggier than a rainforest because I really want this series to go back to being good with a better story and this seems to a step in the right direction in terms of environment and music.
  • I think it took to long for this. I am part of a dedicated MMO gaming community and out of the 2000 or so registered members only like 4 people have shown interest in playing the game. Had the game released at this quality or gotten close to it in the first year or so it may have made a huge impact.

But I think it has been far too long. There are too many good F2P MMOs it has to compete with. Square Enix may be able to turn a profit from it, I just dont think it will ever be as large as it could have. Especially with same crazy awesome looking MMOS coming down the pipeline like Neverwinter, Repopulation, Pathfinder, Elder Scrolls and such.

-Edit- Actually I forgot about the PS3 version. Depending on when that ships and if PS3 owners embrace it the game could still do fairly well. There is far less competition for it on the PS3. I still think on PC its ship has sailed.
  • so basically ps3 has bad framerate
  • Prelude song
  • I'll get it for the ps3, unless it's pay to play.
  • I played the crap out of FF12 ... if the battle system is like that, I'll play it.
  • This is what FFXIV should've launched as...

  • i might check it out on ps3, but PLEASE BE F2P, i don't want to have a freaking subscription
  • Frame rate problems and a lot of screen tearing on the PS3 version......
  • Looks nice.  Gorgeous on the PC, but the PS3's frames per second should be serious cause for concern for all those who are considering it on that platform.

  • The graphics look good, but the combat system looks broken. I'd much rather enjoy seeing a turn-based Final Fantasy MMORPG instead of this.
