The lights are on
Twitter user Superannuation has exposed a number of domains that could mean Sony is working on a Cloud product.
The URLs are based on something called the PlayStation Cloud. Domains such as playstation-cloud.com were registered by Gaikai, a cloud-streaming video game service. Sony bought the company last year, and rumors persist about how the next PlayStation – should it be announced at Sony’s New York City event on February 20 – might dabble in the technology.
Guess that would be an inevitable move on Sony's part. Still, I'm still quite skeptical about streaming technology. Not that it's a bad idea, but it's usually too glitchy to be reliable. Man, the Sony headlines are gonna be exploding tomorrow for sure. I'm gonna be clearing my schedule for Wednesday for sure.
I want this to be cloud saves.
Come on Vita support
I don't understand this. Will I be able to stick my PS3 games in a cloud and then retrieve them with the PS4? Or.. what.. I don't see the point of streaming. PSN store?.. what's the difference? What is this "internet" people keep talking about?
Streaming PS3 games is most likely where they're going with it since rumors are leaning toward the system not being backwards compatible.
Not totally unexpected. Even if it doesn't appear with the PS4, cloud streaming will most likely happen on Sony's end. Cloud saves would be nice too.
I still havent tried Cloud, maybe PS4's will be good.
i cant wait
ah the sony cloud, which you can play PS3 games via cloud on PS4...
ps3 see Ps4
If they don't announce PS4, I guarantee there is going to be rioting in the streets.
This could be interesting...
I wouldn't mind being able to stream PS3 games, but will there be a way to get free access to games we already own?
