The lights are on
Developer CD Projekt Red has announced that its Witcher series has sold more than 5 million copies worldwide since the series debuted in 2007.
CD Projekt CEO Adam Kiciński credits a significant amount of those sales on the Xbox 360 release of the Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition. As a little thank you, the company is reducing the price of the game to $29.99. PC owners can download the game from GOG.com and Steam for 50-percent off.
Yesterday, Deep Silver revealed that Techland's Dead Island sold 5 million copies worldwide, too. Coincidence? Probably.

Wonderful. I'm glad the Witcher series is a success. I really thought it would've sold more, but still 5 million units is still a lot.
Not bad, CD Projekt Red. Not bad at all.
Think of all the more fans they could make if they just simply port The Witcher series on the PS
Only 10 dollars on Steam?!? Count me in.
Waiting to jump in if they release a trilogy pack. Heard only good things about the Withcer series.
And cheers to their continued success! I loved Witcher 2 and cannot wait to see what they have in store for us with Witcher 3. Finally some more info on what exactly the "Wild Hunt" is and how it made Geralt the Witcher he is today.
Thats awesome!
???? I didn't know Witcher 2 didn't come to PS3.... That's pretty sad. Anyway, this is really great! Congrats!
Looks like such a great game.
Perfect timing! I was just about to go pick this up :D
Nice! I've been wanting to play this game badly, and now I guess I have fewer reasons not to.
Really enjoying the 2nd one so far. I got it on Steam during their Christmas sale and have just got to playing it. Some of the controls are a bit hard to grasp at the beginning (for me anyway), but once you get the hang of them the combat is AMAZING, plus the visuals are great.
