The lights are on
Fire Emblem fans have it tough. The series took its sweet time coming stateside, and even as Japan receives new entries in the series, we can never be certain which will arrive here. So it's understandable why fans would be upset by the Fire Emblem: Awakening's delay, reported yesterday. Nintendo has supplied an official comment, assuring gamers that the game is on the way and is available digitally.
"Nintendo makes every effort to make sure its games and systems are available at retail stores nationwide on launch day," said a representative via e-mail. "Sometimes, because of the variables of shipping, different retailers receive their shipments on different days. Fire Emblem: Awakening can be purchased right now from the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS."
If you're wondering why folks are so impatient to play the game, read Kim's glowing review and you'll understand.

Well, digital isn't bad at all. As long as you get to play it.
I just cancelled my preorder and downloaded it from the eshop. It's pretty fun.
Not really sure why everyone is blaming Nintendo as anything like this is a shipper side fault that appears to only be affecting the US.
I've waited a couple years for the next fire emblem, I can wait a few more days.
Still debating getting this. I've never been good at Fire Emblem, but i've always liked them.....idk.....
It'd better be if it's as good as you say...
It's was available at all the targets around me this morning?
Just called my local GameStop and they said Friday. Boo... I wonder if it's a Los Angeles thing. Someone else in the comments said that LA was having delays until Friday. =(
At least I have Ni no Kuni in the mean time. ^_^ 35 hours in and still going strong. Such a great game!
Sadly no dice for me today. I'm hoping it's in tomorrow though, tuesday is usually when games come out anyways. Oh well I still have plenty of vn's waiting to be read, finally started Virtues Last Reward the other day, and still haven't finished Growlanser or Legend of Heroes lol.
why has no one stated the most obvious and blatant disregard for the release date, The latest issue of Game Informer has a four page advertisement that clearly states the release date. Honestly i feel like they are leading the lemmings to the eshop to drum up sales numbers. So i say *** gamestop, and this shipping BS, because if this was a legitimate issue No ONE would have this game. The truth of the matter is I have to say thank you to Target, you didnt let nintendo push you around and you kept the proposed street date. If Nintendo needed to make the street date the 8th then that is what should have been dated in the first place. Lastly, I feel nitendo should give us all some free dlc outside of the first one for this fiasco that they are the total cause of.
the demo is my first venture into this series and i gotta say in that short time i already began an attachment towards the characters. A definite buy!
I went to my Gamestop and they didn't have it, but I did find Ace Attorney Justice for All and Trials and Tribulations. Now all I need is the the first Ace Attorney and will have in my possession physical copies of all the Ace Attorney games released in America!
Patience is fine with me
Meanwhile in Australia... we don't get it till April 19th
Check your local Targets. Nearly all of the ones located near me have "in stock" to "Limited Stock" as their availability. picking mine up early in the morning.
