More On Halo 4's DLC Schedule

Halo 4 developer 343 Industries has kicked off the new year with some more information about additional content for Halo 4.

343's official Halo Waypoint Halo Bulletin lists the content of the second half of Spartan Ops Season 1 (see below), and it also notes that in late February there will be a Title update and the Majestic Map Pack (featuring two small maps and one medium-sized one). It's previously been rumored that Majestic will come out on February 25. Furthermore, the blog states that matchmaking updates will appear every Monday, and teases that some of the possible playlists for February included FFA and a "new and improved version of Team Snipers."

343 says that all of these schedules are subject to change and haven't been finalized.

Week of 1/21 

Spartan Ops Episode 6: Five new missions and an accompanying new CG cinematic. 

"Forge Test" playlist (name not final): A rotational hopper featuring small Forge maps such as Relay. Help us test these maps by providing feedback and reporting bugs that will assist us in getting them ready for Matchmaking! 

Specializations: Pioneer and Pathfinder Specializations unlocked for all players. 

Week of 1/28 

Spartan Ops Episode 7: Five new missions and an accompanying new CG cinematic. 

Grifball playlist: A rotational hopper featuring everybody’s favorite virtual sport. Catch the disease! 

Specializations: Engineer and Stalker Specializations unlocked for all players. 

Week of 2/4 

Spartan Ops Episode 8: Five new missions and an accompanying new CG cinematic. 

Team Doubles playlist: A rotational hopper for those of you that like action of the 2 vs 2 variety. 

Specializations: Rogue and Tracker Specializations unlocked for all players.

    I've been neglecting Halo 4 for other games on my backlog. Looks like it's about time to devote at least some play time every day or every other day to get back in the swing of things.

    The upcoming release schedule does look nice! I hope the new Spartan Ops episodes are a little more creative, not that I did like the previous ones. I just found some of it to get a bit repetitive. But I still enjoyed them.

    I'm just about to wrap up episode 5 of Spartan Ops so this is welcoming news. Of course I've been so enamored with Spartan Ops that I haven't even started the single-player campaign yet....

    All those haters for the game... (mainly the Waypoint forums), should stop whining about 343 not listening, once they see this.

    im kinda upset with halo 4 because of the lack of default mulitiplayer maps that comes with the game. it's still a great game but more default maps should've came with the game.

    Cool, maybe this will get me back into Halo. I've switched over to Black Ops 2 because of lack of maps, and an even greater lack of brains in teammates. Also, I hope the DLC is better than the Crimson Map Pack (that doesn't even work for me anymore).

    343i and MS screwed up the specialization unlock code they sent out to early adopters of the game that played multiplayer prior to November 20th. Many people didn't get the code (was supposed to go to your email if it was active and if not go to you via an xbox live message). I, among hundreds if not thousands of gamers, didn't get their code and 343i is blaming it on the gamer for not having a current email account or not checking their spam folders. They're making the gamer the scapegoat instead of looking at their own broken logistics when it came to contacting gamers with the codes. I'm done with Halo 4.

    I fell off after the Spartan Ops reruns. Campaign rocks, but the multiplayer just doesn't grab me.

    I'm looking forward to some more Spartan Ops. Hopefully they will be more diverse then the last five episodes but either way I still enjoyed it more then Firefight. Hopefully the true skill ranking will be available soon to because I just hit SR 130 so I need some more incentive :P. Are there any details on the title update in terms of fixes?
