Dragonborn DLC Confirmed For PS3

Bethesda said today the PlayStation 3 and PC versions of Dragonborn, the third content add-on for The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, arrives early next year. This will be the first download add-on released for the PS3 version after over a year.

Pete Hines, VP of PR at Bethesda, told Game Informer, "We’re not done working on Skyrim content," when asked if the previous content, Dawnguard and Hearthfire, will come to PS3, too.

Bethesda came under fire from fans earlier this year when the company failed to deliver the content due to technical issues with the PS3. "This is not a problem we’re positive we can solve, but we are working together with Sony to try to bring you this content," the company said of Dawnguard.

Dragonborn releases tomorrow on Xbox 360.

  • I am seriously shocked.. Seriously...

  • Watch something will come up to stop it
  • Hopefully BGS won't get all of the hate that they do now.
  • Finally! Hopefully Hearthfire and Dawnguard can make it as well.
  • Lol too late
  • There.... PS3 players can shut the hell up now... NVM I know they wont...
  • Does this mean that Playstation 3 fans will like Bethesda again? After all, the many that were complaining about the content not being released due to technical issues (meaning you would have received an inferior product) swore up and down that it was a conspiracy on the part of Bethesda to spite the Playstation 3 community.

Perhaps this will let everyone relax again and realize that developers don't pick sides with their releases (unless if it's Valve). May everyone be able to enjoy the content when it is released.
  • They knew about these issues long before the game came out. They said so barely a month after launch. The DLC generation though has given them the ability to release a broken game, and then patch it later. Or, in this case, keep fixing a game over a year after they first sold it. So, don't give them a pass even if this comes out. After all, PS3 users didn't know about this until it was too late. After they'd spent their $60-$150 dollars on this game.
  • I'm happy for the ps3 players. They're finally getting some dlc, though I don't really think the "Bethesda's out to get me" people deserve to get it.
  • At least the PS3 will get this DLC. Better than nothing, I think.
  • I honestly am having a difficult time believing this. I really hope they aren't just saying this to make us PS3 players happy, then not deliver cause of some hic-up? Frankly, with Bethesda, I'll need to see it to believe it. Also, when will Dawngaurd and Hearthfire come? It seems weird they would announce the release of the 3rd DLC before telling us the release date of the first two.
  • At least we know this much. Whether or not I will actually buy it is something else, since I have other games that I'm playing.

  • YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!
  • Good for the PS3 gamers. Better to get one DLC than none.

  • what would be awesome is if Bethesda gave it to PS3 owners for free in regards of all the setbacks we've dealt with in the past.
  • Skyrim and all TES games are best on PC. Modding gives the game indefinite life and allows one to completely revolutionize the experience in ways the vanilla games can't. Buying on any other platform is just a waste of your money, especially when you aren't even getting the DLC for the game.
  • I don't have a PS3 but I can already here PS3 users across the World going " HECK YES !!!! "
  • RELEASE THE BUGS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you Bethesda, I can now look foward to more Skyrim adventures! I am happy with this outcome, even if we do not recieve the other two DLC's (even if my inner-woman is crying at me to build a awesome house in skyrim). At least we will get more of the actual Dragonborn lore, which is what I wanted most.
  • They can bring Dragonborn to ps3 but they're not sure if they can make Dawnguard and Hearthfire work? Seems a bit contradictory to me.
