The lights are on
Ngmoco's Ben Cousins says DICE is currently working on the sequel to its cult hit.
In response to an OXM article where EA Games VP Patrick Soderlund said that its Stockholm-based studio doesn't want to become a Battelfield factory, former DICE executive producer and current ngmoco general manager Ben Cousins tweeted, "It is general knowledge in the Stockholm dev scene that Mirror's Edge 2 is in production at DICE."
Cousins' comments further point to the idea that we'll see Mirror's Edge 2 sooner rather than later. This past May, the resume of a programming student claimed he particpated in a focus test for the game as well. When we reached out to EA regarding the status of the project, it declined to comment.
What would you want to see out of a Mirror's Edge sequel?

Sweet! I really want this to be true. I enjoyed the first one a lot and played it through multiple times. If the new one's story is a bit longer, I'll be satisfied. Bring it on!
It's about bloody time already. It's starting to get ridiculous with games like this.
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaapppy face.
That would be awesome!
good...that was one of the games that actually deserved a freakin' sequel. its about time....if it's true that is
OH GOD YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!
This is wonderful news!
Now all I need is Republic Commando 2 and Half Life 3
No guns. Only hand to hand combat and free running.
Notice the word "claim." We have know clue if this is true or not, but I would love to see another Mirror's Edge.
Let's make this happen.
Cool, I'd definitely come back for seconds.
*fingers crossed* PLEASE let this happen.
I enjoyed Mirror's Edge when it came out. Hopefully the second is even better.
