Mojang's 0x10c To Miss Minecon

by Adam Biessener on Nov 20, 2012 at 06:37 AM

Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson revealed that his enigmatic current project, 0x10c, will not appear at this weekend's Minecon in Paris, France via Twitter today.

Sadly, we'll have to wait longer for word on how the space sim is coming along. In the meantime, check out the video (below) released last month for an idea of what 0x10c is all about, beyond the basic Red Dwarf-like concept of human space explorers cryo-slept into the distant future of the universe where stars are burnt out and galaxies dimming...and you're stuck with computer tech from 1998.

Personally, I'm hoping that it's moddable and the functioning 16-bit CPU at the game's heart can be programmed with new and classic games. Because Zork needs to be embedded in more modern titles.
