The lights are on
Last week Keiji Inafune teased an upcoming zombie game, Yaiba. At a pre-TGS event in Japan, the Mega Man creator revealed that the full title for this game is Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z.
During a Team Ninja press conference, Inafune showed up, wearing a Dawn of the Dead shirt, to talk about Yaiba, a game about ninja's and zombies, two of Inafune's favorite things. Inafune didn't say much about the game, other than that it would star a ninja named Yaiba who would be chasing down Ninja Gaiden mainstay Ryu Hayabusa.
Team Ninja hopes that this new game will turn into a new series. Inafune and his team at Comcept will be working with developer Spark Unlimited – the developer currently working on Lost Planet 3 – to make sure that the game meets both Japanese and Western sensibilities.
Team Ninja didn't announced what systems the game would release on, but cryptically said that the title would release on "consoles," so it's possible that this could be another next gen project. Please look forward to staying tuned for more information about this exciting project.

I luv Ninja Gaiden!! I'm getting a Gaiden game for my Wii U. I hope this game comes to all systems!
That's so crazy and awesome! I have a feeling the game is going to be pretty good.
I totally dig this idea. And a huge plus if they keep that same graphical style as seen in the image on this story.
"Team Ninja didn't announced..." sorry to be that guy.
On-topic: I'm burned out on zombie games and wasn't thrilled with NG3, but the new protagonist and mash-up of ninjas and zombies has piqued my interest. Looking forward to more details.
Ninjas and zombies...proceed...
LOLWUT?
Ryun is gonna kick this guys ass. But I am quite interested, I need to see some gamepla though.
seems really kool...hope the story holds up
dragon ball z...huh oh.
A cyborg/zombie ninja killing other zombies AND hunting down, god damn Ryu Hayabusa... that's almost too much epicness to contain.
Are ninja's the new zombies? I hope so...tired of everything with zombies. (side note, try Mark of the Ninja)
