The lights are on
Former Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune left Capcom and started a new studio called Comcept. His first announced project was The Island of Dr. Momo. His second game, code named YAIBA, is about killing zombies.
“Everywhere I go, people ask me, ‘When is it coming?’” Inafune said in a statement. “There are so many zombie games out there, yet people ask me for a new Inafune zombie game. I am grateful for people’s respect for me as the ‘zombie game creator’ and to fulfill that I must answer their expectations with YAIBA.
“I am not at freedom to disclose the details just yet,” Inafune added. “But I am confident you will enjoy this new concept consisting of zombies with action, ninjas and mechs.” Below is the first teaser trailer for project YAIBA.
Cool...but why not just focus on one title at a time? I guess it's a big studio.
I love the Megaman series so whatever he's working on, I hope it makes it to the States. I also love zombies so this sounds like it could be a win, win.
How about a game where you play as a ghost or werewolf. How about a creature from the black lagoon, just anything other than zombies.
Wasn't there other Keiji Inafune's game project that's not mentioned in this article, like the King of Pirates and Soul Sacrifice? I know Yaiba wasn't his second game.
While the Megaman Series is my favorite series of all time, I also like Zombie games. This will be interesting to see!
I wish this guy would make incredible games in the future. Megaman has gotten screwed over by Crapcom so much lately. He deserves better. Actually... I think Crash. Spyro and Megaman deserve a legit reboot!
need more information :(
Whatever happened to Kaio: King of Pirates? That game looked really cool, certainly worth a purchase to me
