Earth Defense Force 4 Due In 2013

The latest issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu confirmed Earth Defense Force 4 is arriving next year for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game was first teased back in July. This new game features online multiplayer, according to the magazine. For now, it's still not confirmed whether or not Earth Defense Force 4 is coming to North America or Europe.

Famitsu also posted a number of screenshots from the game on its website if you want to check them out.

Who's the developer, Sandlot or Vicious Cycle? The game's screens on Famitsu's website have lighting similar to Sandlot's stuff, but the assets looked ripped from BOTH of their EDF games. Ideally, I'd want to see a true east-west collaboration here. Vicious Cycle's game played better and had better online. Sandlot's game had more creative enemies and a better tone. It would make me really happy if they combined forces to bring us EDF4...

More excited for this then most things coming out this year or next. Yeah, I for one don't give a *** if the game your making is supposedly a "AAA" title.
