The lights are on
The fantasy-themed title is on its way to iOS and Android, and the company has a trailer to help make the announcement.
Gameloft is looking to expand its already expansive mobile and tablet game library with a move into utilizing Unreal, and the first game on the horizon is the newly anounced Wild Blood. Little is known about the game beyond what's shown in the trailer, which reveals a host of scary looking fantasy monsters and, at one point, a sword-wielding hero about to step into a lush forest. The trailer might raise more than a few eyebrows as comparisons are drawn to the popular Infinity Blade iOS games. It wouldn't be the first time that Gameloft had been criticized for borrowing elements from other game series. It remains to be seen if the gameplay will emulate the style seen in Infinity Blade, or offer some other twist on the fantasy milieu.

Is this a copy of IB? Its hard to tell with the trailer.

looks sexy might have to check out a ipad version when it comes around
If they try and copy Infinity Blade they will fail in a way so powerful I hope it physically hurts them.
I'll admit; it's amazing that Gameloft went from sub-PSOne level trash like Hero of Sparta to visuals of this quality in, like, 4 years. Especially when, say, you look at Japanese developers, who have avoided HD consoles and modern tech like the plague since 2006, sticking to PSP level hardware and PSP level visuals. Even Japanese PS Vita games look like PSP games. There are exceptions, of course - like Platinum Games, some Capcom teams, and others - but generally speaking, a ton of Japanese teams have just not evolved. Meanwhile, Gameloft has evolved faster than probably any other developer I've ever seen.
That being said, they still suck at making games. They may look okay, but they play like garbage. They play like cheap imitations of much better games, just like their price points suggest. At least before, you could see some method in their madness, ripping off game series' that would never actually come to the iPhone. "Imitation God of War", "Imitation Halo", "Imitation Uncharted" - there's probably of market for that. A market of stupid, cheap gamers, but a market nonetheless. If this is indeed a ripoff of Infinity Blade - another iOS game -, they've officially lost their minds over at Gameloft.
whether they rip off infinity blade or not, android hasn't seen it yet so this may be the only taste of infinity blade us android owners get to se until it's officially launched on android which isn't likely to happen any time soon.
Here I was wondering what game they were ripping off this time, and you went ahead and answered that for me, without me even having to watch the trailer!
Well N.O.V.A 3 was actually pretty unique compared to Gameloft's other games, since the first two were just Halo knockoffs, so this one might be more unique if thats not too hard to believe.
