The lights are on
Warner Bros. Seattle game studios suffered layoffs today, the company confirmed. "Due to shifting business imperatives, WB Games Seattle has made staff reductions," a spokesperson told Game Informer. "The group will continue to remain an integral part of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment."
It's unclear at this time what studios have been affected. Unconfirmed reports say F.E.A.R. developer Monolith Productions was hit, with entire core team and general manager being let go. The company also reportedly consolidated three of its studio offices into one.
WB Seattle was hit with layoffs last November as well.
Ah man, not Monolith... >_<
Too many layoffs. This is a shame.
Man, game studios are taking a serious hit lately.
Dang that stinks. It seems like companies are making layoffs all the time and you can't go a week without hearing about them.
Seriously. I had to open the article to see which random, generic shooting game this was. Layoffs suck though, hope they're all able to find employment again soon.
I've never liked F.E.A.R., but this is still bad news.
It is a shame that more and more layoffs keep happening in the game world.
poor monolith they really gotten stuck and I doubt Warner Bros that great to work with and probably pretty demanding.
shsame...
This is just terrible! There's so much bad news like this that it makes me feel gloomy.
