The lights are on
Rayman Legends has been positioned as a Wii U game since it was officially announced last week at E3. The game was demoed on Nintendo's new console at Ubisoft's press conference, and it was playable on the show floor (on Wii U). Considering its touchscreen-based multiplayer, near-field communication support, and other Wii U-specific functionality, it's clear that much of the game was designed with Nintendo's console in mind. Don't think that means that everyone else is going to be left out, however.
In an interview with Joystiq, Ubisoft senior game manager Michael Micholic shows a little unwillingness to commit. "Well we're not really saying it's a Wii U exclusive, although right now all we're showing is the Wii U [version]." He added that the company is looking at "a lot of different launch options," but that the Wii U was the focus.
Meanwhile, check out our hands-on coverage of the game, straight from the E3 show floor. On the Wii U.

It would hardly be the same game on another console. Entire game modes would have to be stripped from it. If they port it to PS360 they need to rename it to something else.
Yeah, sure Ubisoft. "rolls eyes"
I can't imagine the other versions could stack up to the Wii U's though.
I actually didn't think this was a WiiU exclusive to begin with.
Never thought that it would be an exclusive anyway, but most likely is gonna have exclusive content to make it more appealing on the Wii U.
Good good this will work out
Please be on the PSVita!!
Of course it's not exclusive, why would they move from 5 platforms to 1? Doesn't make economical sense, and it's Ubisoft, they rarely do single platform exclusives. It's just that the game definitely had Wii U in mind, I'd suggest that they are wondering how to port it to other platforms (i.e. leave out second screen, near field, etc? Support it with things like smart glass or the Vita play, but make it optional given that those things are not guaranteed to exist on those platforms. etc etc.) and we will see it on other platforms I'm sure.
No matter, I want the Wii U experience I saw at E3, so it's still my platform of choice for this game. Tres excited!
It's not surprising, although I can only guess what the other versions will be like. The game seemed centered around the Gamepad.
Sweet! Rayman: Origins was awesome, I'd really like to see this come to Xbox.
I think the issue is in the numbers. Exclusives mean only one fanbase will be buying the product. Ubisoft doesnt' really do exclusives for any systems. Their games are almost always for multiplatform. What they are showing is that the game was developed for the Wii U, and it will have a lot of gameplay touches that are unique to the new system. These gameplay touches need to be experienced to really enjoy the game as it is intended. Other versions would be watered down, so the dev is pushing people toward the most complete version.
it better not be, i loved origins
who would think that this is an exclusive? Because CoD is shown on 360 doesn't mean it's notcoming to PS3...
