The lights are on
Final Fantasy’s Lightning Farron returned looking much fiercer in XIII-2. Cosplayer Eclair specializes in costumes of the pink-haired protagonist, and captured her new armored look to perfection. Check out the impressive craftsmanship below.
Who: The CharacterThe character is Lightning Farron from Final Fantasy XIII-2.
Why: The DecisionI chose Lightning because I feel similar to her, and feel that her story was similar to mine. This is the fourth version I’ve made of her.
What: The ProcessWell, I didn’t have much time for the cosplay, and made it in about three months. The main material I used is a special plastic called “forex” that is modeled with heat. The weapon and shield were made with wood. There isn’t an overly “difficult part.” It was hard work, but I enjoy doing armor.
Where and When: The DebutI wore the costume at a convention in October called “Romics.” My friend and I did a photoshoot at Lucca Comics in 2011.

Y'all with the negativity are ridiculous. Entitled to be so, but the idea that your opinions could reach this person, and actually convince her to stop doing what she enjoys doing kind of p*isses me off. The costume is awesome. I wish I had half the talent and patience it takes to get the results she got in these pictures.

Not bad
Final Fantasy character design is always beautiful, and she has translated the look wonderfully. There's alot of detail in this costume and looking at the quality of the work, I'm surprised that she completed it in only 3 months. That there is a talent on its own. :)
Little too much, um, "cheekage" for me, but I honestly think HER cosplay of Lightning is great. I mean yes, the second-to-last picture facial expression makes her look like a dude, but you should really check out her other shots on Deviant Art. They're quite amazing.

Why is everybody saying that's a guy in the comments? On every link that was posted it says she's female. Just check out her YouTube site, does that really look like a guy doing his hair? Also, fourth picture from the top...DAT ASS!
