The lights are on
Sony is already getting the hype machine rolling a month before E3. "Join PlayStation executives as we announce the future of gameplay and innovation," the company said.
The website for this invitation-only press conference says Sony will be sharing more about "the new PlayStation lineup, products, and services that will drive the upcoming year in entertainment."
Sony CEO Kaz Hirai previously said the company will make no new hardware announcements at E3, so we'll just have to wait and see what else they plan to roll out.
The conference kicks off at 6:00 PM Pacific Time and will be streamed online here.

well I'm stoked. i hope its actually "innovating" instead of some useless add-on peripheral. Mayhaps the PS4? I doubt it, but a man can dream can't he?
How can it be so innovating if it's not going to be new hardware? I get that games can be innovative in their own way, but not like this.
As long as its not about 3d or the move again.
Brand new innovations that none have seen, like LittleBigPlanet Kart, and PlayStation All Stars: Battle Royale!
It's hype. Nothing more, nothing less. I'm sure this year will be no different than the last few.
I hope it's something that blows my eyelids off and not just more add on shovelware.
It's still to early for the new systems to be announced. That will be later this year at special events for each company I'm sure. They need E3 to push current and soon to be content through the rest of this year so.
They can't overshadow new stuff with announcing a new system. Again, those are due out next nov/dec easy, so don't expect to hear anything till late this year if not early next year.
cross platform play? The return of split screen multiplayer? A innovation that doesn't deserve all the hype due to not being the first major example? PR BsS? Find out at the Sony E3 showing.
Playstation, it only doesn't start new trends.
Can't wait for the press conference, its gonna be awesome.
You go Sony, I'm hoping some more awesome exclusives.
Why does June have to be so far away?
Maybe this year, they'll do more than steal something straight from another console.
