The lights are on
After numerous teases and unofficial announcements, Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed they will show off the new Pikmin game for Wii U at E3 this June.
The news comes during a recent interview with Spanish newspaper El Mundo where he said it would be at this year's show. A Nintendo of America representative later confirmed his comments to Game Informer this afternoon.
"In a recent interview, Mr. Miyamoto confirmed that a new Pikmin game will be shown at the E3 Expo in June," Nintendo said. "He believes that anyone who has played Pikmin games in the past will enjoy playing."
E3 2012 begins on June 5, 2012.
Never played it on Gamecube. I guess it's never too late to start.
Oh my god... One, it's Pikmin. Two, it's f*****g Pikmin!
O.O Interested to see how it will play on the Wii U.
My Wii U savings jar has officially started.
Oh FINALLY. I've been waiting for this game ever since Miyamoto said he was working on a new Pikmin game back in 2008. It's like waiting for a Blizzard game, except where you still have enough faith in the developer's ability to follow a release schedule that every additional year of waiting is a genuine disappointment. As long as its as much fun as Pikmin 2, though, I'm okay with that.
I was never a Pikmin fan... but I'm happy for those who have been waiting eagerly for this!
Oh, Oh! Just as I was rambling on how there needed to be a Pikmin 3! Oh holy crap I need to get a Wii U
Next thing they do, they release the originals on Nintendo Network Virtual Console. That would be really cool though!
