As long as it explains what happens afterwards then everything will be fine and I'll forgive them.

I am so glad this is the way they chose to go, I personally loved the original endings, but if there was an outcry for change i hoped it would be an elaboration, not a retcon.

Heads up spoiler.... I'm confused. I had a readiness level of 100% and EMS of 5862. This is the second time beating the game and both times I am not given a choice at the end. Shepard jumps into beam without any other option! Lol! What am I doing wrong? I want to see the destruction ending where Shepard survives?

If everything still gets blow up it is pointless. Why play a game or and any more DLC for that matter if in the end everything gets blown up anyway. I think one fan said it best that the solution to the reaper problem is like burning down the kitchen to kill the ants. It is just stupid. It may be art but it is very bad art.

DLC I wish they were working on instead.  Actually being able to fly the Normandy (there is a precedent, ME2 let you take control of Joker, now let us control him doing what he does best, well aside from the whole EDI thing).

At least two major missions.

Earth approach to drop off Shepard.  It would have been awesome flying in with that huge gauntlet of a fleet (or whatever fleet you get).

Helping protect the Crucible on it's way to interfacing with the Citadel.

Ah, I can dream at least.

Good for them. I mean it's their game, and while the point is to have appeal to the player, they made that ending thinking it was well done to finish everything up, they should stand by it.

Whatever... after ME3 this franchise is going to go waaay down my list of anticipated games. I will keep an eye out but no Shepard in the story is pretty much a deal breaker for me. It's like watching your favorite tv show and suddenly the main cast is replaced by some other *** that is nearly not as entertaining or has an impact.

Free DLC is always nice, I guess...

And yet this still doesn't address the fact that none of your choices matter, essentially making playthroughs of the series pointless.

Not changing it entirely is a wise move on their part in my opinion. I know saying that without actually playing it through does not give me the credit to say what I just said but I'm just trying to look @ it through "the big picture" view if you understand what I'm trying to say. Finishing it would probably allow me to go into finer detail with it all but I'm just thinking out loud here.

Adding to what was already there is a medium to it all,may not be great or horrible but additional knowledge into the lore of the universe they have created to bring more understanding to it all isn't a bad thing right? Now we all know that they will not be able to satisfy everybody with whatever they are planning with this DLC but shining more light onto what's confusing or making people angry is always helpful.

I'm indifferent to it all till I finish the game itself but that's my thoughts on this situation.

Good that they aren't changing the ending, would ruin the game

Call me crazy, but I'm seriously wondering if BioWare planned this from the beginning. Consider, they wanted From Ashes to be part of the normal gameplay but due to scheduling circumstances they could only release it as day one dlc. This same problem may have affected the amount of time and effort the production staff could put into the ending. I think the problem was more with EA pushing BioWare towards a strenuous deadline rather than BioWare being lazy.

Crazy ideas aside, I have to admit I'd like to see more closure with the characters, because this game more so than any other has created a diverse cast of characters that you can't help but love and care about. I'd like to see what happens to them after the war is over.

The ending sucked.  Keep sticking to your guns Bioware.  Great at least I'll know how my crew magically appeared on the Normandy.  How tehy came up with this ending story wise is beyond me as it just sucks.  

But then to half ass the ending like that based on the stupid direction you took it plot wise is unforgivable.  The worst ending of the 3 games w/out a doubt and it should have been the absolute best ending of the 3 games, w/out a doubt, and possible of video games to date.  We all know where the writing talent went with this series when Drew left/was fired or whatever.

ME3 should have been a slam dunk.  How bioware botched it is so pathetic.

I was originally in the camp of, "I'm not terribly angry at the ending, but some closure would be nice," but now i'm in the camp of "What if closure means something I dislike even more?"
