The lights are on
Sony confirmed Idol Minds will no longer develop Warrior's Lair, the game formerly known as Ruin.
The company told GamesIndustry International the project is now being moved completely in-house to its San Diego studio. Sony did not provide a reason for the change.
Warrior's Lair was renamed earlier this year. This Diablo-style action game let's you play on both Vita and PlayStation 3. For more on Warrior's Lair, check out our latest preview of the game.

Sony made that decision based solely on their financial situation. Sony posted a $2.9 billion dollar loss in Feb and they are slashing Vita titles across the board since Vita sales are so low. Sony has been making massive cuts across the board not just with Idol Minds but with many other developers as well. They are in a slow tailspin since Apple and mobile aps are now dominating the gaming market. Sony may still cancel the game. Moving an external title to an internal team who doesn't know how the code works is an utterly insane and desperate move and will postpone delivery date to sometime next year.
Ugh. I prefer the name "Warrior's Lair" over "Ruin" and I hate that its only on Vita and not 3ds too. Ugh, ugh, ugh. :(
Sony has never been a company that gratuitously cuts staff and closes studios just because a product could not meet expectations, so this combined with the shut down of Zipper Interactive must imply some very severe financial upheavals within the company. Hopefully they recover soon, the 'Sony family' makes great games and I'd hate to see them affected by worse stress.
i have a feeling this game is moving into gaming limbo
This Diablo clone is going to be in trouble because of Diablo 3...
