The lights are on
BioWare issued a statement this morning saying it has made no decision regarding requests to change the endings of Mass Effect 3.
The studio published an update on its Facebook page explaining it is taking all player feedback into consideration. Below is BioWare's full statement.

On Friday, executive producer Casey Hudson published a letter online saying, "This is not the last you’ll hear of Commander Shepard." Numerous online petitions from fans asking BioWare to change Mass Effect 3's endings have surfaced since the game's release earlier this month. One fan claims he filed a complaint with the FTC.
Indoctrinated Fanbase = Exactly what was planned (albiet they probably didn't count on THIS much of a meltdown)... DLC to wrap things up from the London rubble - tough titties if you don't have an internet connect, I do... so yeah, sucks for them.
Personally, I loved the ending. True, there are a few plot holes I could drive a truck through, but the overall impact was great. But, even if I hated the ending I would not want Bioware to change it. For better or worse, once a products out there, you can't go changing it in such a significant way. Glitches, some DLC, OK fine, but to completely change the ending? Once you release a product, game or not, its out there and thats it. I fear we are turning into the kind of society that will accept half-baked products if they promise to fix it later.
Of course, why would they bother? They have our money and that's all that matters to them.
I hope they don't give in to the crybabies and change the endings. I enjoyed my play through all the way through the ending. All of my choices from the first two and in the third one led up to the ending I chose. While I still have some questions none of them are for BioWare to change the ending. They have always said this trilogy was about Shepard's story and they plan on doing more with the universe outside of this trilogy. As far as I am concerned they accomplished what they set out to do.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooo nO NO NO do not change dang it!
The game was published as it was meant to be. You cant just change a story to be the way you want it to be. If everyone did that everything would always be happy go lucky, and eventually everything would be dull. Thats the beauty of a good story it dosent always end happy or well.
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle killed Sherlock Holmes and his fans flipped out. He brought him back with some clever twists completely destroying the canon, and it didn't diminish the fiction or artform at all. If anything that's probably the reason anybody knows those stories today.
That said I think the ADD web tweekers ruined Biowares chances of pulling a great story twist(indoc theory)all while pleasing their lords at EA(by releasing an ending via DLC).
hey, you guys remember that show Lost?
im surprised no one remembers the Mass Effect 3 leak a while ago, which had been edited because of the leak!
ok everybody pause!
I haven't even bought the game yet. money's tight.
God i hope they change it
I wonder how long it will take GI to run out of ME3 pictures for the heads of these articles that churn out almost daily.
