A fan who wants to see the ending of Mass Effect 3 changed has taken his complaint to the Federal Trade Commission, the agency created to protect consumers.

His argument is that Bioware did not deliver on the promise of its game saying, "after reading through the list of promises about the ending of the game they made in their advertising campaign and PR interviews, it was clear that the product we got did not live up to any of those claims."

He continues by inviting others to file complaints against Electronic Arts with the FTC if they share his sentiments.

Wow..... That is absolutely ridiculous! I can't believe someone would take it that far. Its a video game for crying out loud!

Edit: I actually like the ending. A video game for me has never made me stop and think before making my decision like the ending to ME3 had.

Wow. This is insane. I'm a huge ME fan, and I can honestly say that I don't care. Seriously, these "fans" need to calm down a little. It's OK to dislike the ending and everything, but this seems way over the line.

Jesus Effing Christ! What the Hell is wrong with these people. Deal with it. If you want to see a different ending, go make your own game. Or another option, the next time you play a character driven game, don't expect the ending to be omniscient! You don't own Bioware, Deal with it people. This kid has gone too far.

Wow. Completely ridiculous, absolutely stupid, and going way to far. Some of these fans are taking it way to personally and basically *****-slapping the Mass Effect writers square in the face. Bioware worked hard on these games and did what they wanted. Just give them a break already and give it a rest.

Wow. I am speechless. It's an amazing series, and yeah there were some overlooked promises, but didn't Casey Hudson just hint that things will be fixed? This will not improve anything. Bioware is an excellent studio and this move is uncalled for.

i understand peoples problems with the Ending of ME3, but really this is taking it too far and extremely unnecessary. you didn't like the ending, well so did a lot of people, but they didn't go to the Government to complain.

Someone slap this fan, they are a disgrace to gamers everywhere.

Edit: I also don't remember the trailers, marketing, or developers saying anything about where the game would wind up other than that it would end. That this was the last in the series. So on top of this guy being a jerk, he's also a few eggs short of a basket upstairs.

And we thought the CoD fans attacking MW3 on Metacritic was bad.

I'm one of the many who find the endings just fine the way they are. BUT I would have liked a little more detail on how the rest of the galaxy and your teammates fared after your endgame decision. Some cinema maybe??? The end overall was kinda.....abrupt for me?

We had hope of BioWare continuing the story via DLC. Casey Hudson said so. But this person is just askin BioWare to cancel any hope for a continuing of the story...

Well, I actually wanna go out and buy Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3 just to play through and see what the fuss is about the ending.
