The lights are on
SEGA today confirmed it is delaying the release of Aliens: Colonial Marines until later this fall.
The game was originally scheduled to ship this coming spring. “Aliens: Colonial Marines is a process of creativity and invention and those don't necessarily follow the structure of an assembly line," SEGA and Gearbox Software said in a statement sent to Game Informer.
"While setting clear goals, deadlines and predictions is helpful, they are often subjective. We don't want to sacrifice the creative process just for the sake of following a blue print. We prefer to have the creative discovery shape that blue print because our goal is to make a great game, and we are prioritizing this goal over the previously targeted date.”

Another November game I am guessing
In the age when games are released unfinished, I gladly welcome delays. Polish it!
I can see its not a slow news day, but on the other hand this is unfortunate news ಠ_ಠ

I rather them delay instead of this *** now a days with unfinished games, some of you can whine about a delay but how many games has it been now that it needs some major patch or weeks on end that there is some major issue. Back in my days games were finished and didn't need a patch unless it was needed for a serious issue.
This is the 3rd delay on the game. Hopefully it really is so they dont rush it out unfinished. However anytime I hear about delays a sudden, "We are pushing it back so we can make it appeal to a broader audience" comes to mind because of Mass Effect 3.
Glad they at least are trying to make the game better.

Good. Sega needs to do the whole "quality, not quantity" thing. As Miyamoto has shown many times before that no one remembers how long a game is delayed, they just remember how good it is.
Besides, Aliens seems more like a Halloween game anyway. Not a happy springtime release ;)
Game's been delayed for years so what's a few more months? Looked good last time we saw it so here's hoping the wait is worth it.
Better to have it delayed then rushed out the door. So yeah, I'm okay with this, besides there should be other good games to play before this is released.
