The lights are on
When Rockstar started showing more and more of Max Payne 3 late last year, we started to think that the game was on the right course and that it would be smooth sailing until the game's release in March. Clearly, that was a mistake.
The game's March release date has been changed to May 15, which pushes the title out of Take-Two Interactive's fiscal year. Accordingly, the company is now forecasting a loss for the fiscal year.
"We do not take changes to our release schedule lightly, and this short delay will ensure that Max Payne 3 delivers the highest quality, groundbreaking entertainment experience that is expected from our company," said Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick of the delay:
Max Payne 3 will appear on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on May 15, and then on the PC on May 29. For the latest on the game, check out these new screens.

Awww... Oh well, at least it's only two months. It's not like it's disappearing for a couple years again.
***...I was just about to preorder the game tomorrow too. I am a big fan of the Max Payne series, and I was eagerly awaiting the release of Max Payne 3.

Sad day. But polish is more important to me. So I hope the delay helps.
That's cool with me. I have so many games to play as it is. If it'll improve the game, I'm cool with this.
Imo not a problem as long as R* delivers like they always do.
Hopefully the game gets the polish it deserves. And the PC version comes out on my birthday (I'd get the PS3 version if I get it, but that is beside the point).
Not too surprised. Rockstar has had to delay a lot of games for a few months here and there. Remember GTA IV? That got delayed from October 2007 to April 2008
