Deus Ex: Human Revolution Ships Two Million Units

by Jeff Marchiafava on Sep 09, 2011 at 08:36 AM

Today Square Enix happily announced that it has shipped two million copies of Deus Ex: Human Revolution to stores in North America and Europe.

Deus Ex topped the NPD charts last month, despite not launching until August 23. NPD also reported that overall sales were down 23 percent for the month, though, and since it doesn't share sales numbers, we don't know how many copies were actually sold -- just that it's selling better than other games. The game is set to launch in Japan in October, and Square Enix is planning to release the first DLC for the game, entitled The Missing Link, next month as well, so the company will likely continue shipping and selling copies at a steady pace. Despite some flaws introduced in Human Revolution, we couldn't be happier that this ground-breaking series is finding success in the modern era.
