Minecraft Convention Comes To Las Vegas This November

by Tim Turi on Aug 03, 2011 at 06:50 AM

Mojang Studio’s sandbox game/addictive exploration drug Minecraft has coaxed massive creativity out of its skilled users. Tons of user mods have surfaced since the game’s initial under-the-radar release in May 2009, and it has been such a huge success that Mojang has decided to hold a convention in its honor.

The first annual MineCon is coming to Las Vegas, Nevada on November 18 and 19.

“For me, MineCon is about celebrating the full release of Minecraft,” Notch told PC Gamer. “I’m really looking forward to getting up on stage and pushing the button to upload the final build.”

Be on the lookout next week when registration site opens up. Considering Minecraft’s huge success, you’ll probably want to act quickly when the tickets become available.
