Microsoft Really Wants You To Buy The Gunstringer

by Jeff Cork on Jul 22, 2011 at 04:41 AM

Twisted Pixel's upcoming Kinect title, the Gunstringer, is a pretty fun game. Apparently, the folks at Microsoft seem to be even more enthusiastic about the cowboy shooter, since they're throwing a whole mess of extra content and other stuff at players who pick up the game.

The game is hitting stores on September 13 for about $40. OK, it's $39.99, if you want to get all technical on us. In addition to getting the full game, players who buy the Gunstringer will get access to free launch DLC, the Wavy Tube Man Chronicles. The add-on gives players and their skeletal marionettes a chance to take on time-traveling bandits and the grieving son of the game's first boss.

If that's not enticing enough, the game will also include a code for a free download for the XBLA game Fruit Ninja Kinect. The game, already a hit on mobile platforms, lets players live out their fantasies (?!?) of slashing fruit by waving their arms around. The game will be available for download as part of Microsoft's Summer of Arcade promotion on August 10.

Last but not least, if you preorder the Gunstringer, you can get two tokens for an avatar prop, which will be exclusive for those who plan ahead.

Is that enough for you? Sheesh.
