It's not Lost Odyssey 2 but it'll do. Even if The Last Story got terrible reviews, I'd probably buy it new just to show support in hopes that Mistwalker gets to work on LO2.

I think this was filed on January 2010 i remember seeing the news and just until now i assume they just received it (cause it takes a long time), still it would be a nice surprise if Nintendo actually brought it.

This makes me happy! I never owned an XBox so I never had the chance to play Lost odyssey or Blue Dragon. And even though he had another game in the mix, ASH, it was never released in america. So lets hope I will finally get to play another game by the guch!

This is great! I think it could sell really well if they market it as "from the creator of Final Fantasy". This was a really good move(if not an obvious one).

No one get their hopes up. This is NOA we're talking about. Even if they do bring this out - and at this point, it would be 100% damage control, because right now they're clearly complete d-bags - Reggie still has an irrational hatred of Monolith games (a Nintendo owned studio). As well as screwing over any chances for release for a whole ton of games that aren't "investor friendly", or deemed to have the potential to sell millions to the kinds of idiots who only seem to buy Mario sports games and Just Dance. Those are the games Reggie and co. live for. Anyone remember Mother 3, Soma Bringer, Trace Memory R, Fatal Frame, Disaster, or Dynamite Slash (Zangeki Reginliev)? No, because each and every single one wasn't cleared for a North American release by "Captain. D-bag", Reggie Fils-Aime. AKA: the worst president and branch of Nintendo's ever had. I can't believe we ever got Sin & Punishment 2 or Glory of Heracles; personally. I bet games like that are brought over just to fail at retail, and then they can point to them and go, "See? This is why we don't bring over more games like this. They don't sell". Nothing to talk about the quality of the game (Sin & Punishment 2 kinda blows), or the fact that no one wanted it (Glory of Heracles). The only reason they're buying the trademark for Last Story is probably to prevent others from making the website. Like those Activision-hating guys who (hilariously) have the Modernwarfare4.com domain.

I would love for this to come over for the sake of other Wii owners, but my Wii is just an expensive bookend. I've given up on Nintendo bringing any worth the disk it's printed on to the states. Unless its on a cartridge, its 95% crap from Nintendo. DS/GBA has gotten way more releases and many more good games than Gamecube/Wii. Maybe I've lost the faith.

Is "The Last Story" part of a series? I don't think I've heard of it before all this craziness with Xenoblade and Pandora's Tower.

I suppose by opinion is hesitantly optimistic.

We need more Japanese games... at least the good ones.

Last Story looks really good. I might actually get this and Xenoblade when they get released.
