Molyneux: Fable: The Journey Will Look Better At Gamescom

by Ben Reeves on Jun 28, 2011 at 12:00 PM

Lionhead Studio’s new Kinect title Fable: The Journey could turn out to be a great game, but the demo we saw at E3 looked a little rough (read our E3 preview for more information). There’s a good reason for that; the team only had four month to throw the demo together.

“This project really only started, well in earnest it started about seven months ago and we started coding about four months ago," Lionhead’s Peter Molyneux told OXM UK. "There's huge faults with this demo. The quality isn't quite there, and we haven't had enough time to fulfill all our ambitions. But come Gamescom, our ambition is to give you something to play with because, rough though it is at the moment, it already feels pretty cool."

Gamescom is only two months away at this point. Will that really be enough time to get the game in tiptop shape? We hope so; we’d like to get excited about a Fable title again. Watch four our Gamescom impressions of The Journey and more in August.
