Syndicate Reboot a "GTA Clone"?
Swedish studio Starbreeze Studios (Chronicles of Riddick, The Darkness) has been not-so-secretly working on a Syndicate reboot for Electronic Arts for years, and Fredrik Wester, CEO of fellow Stockholm-based developer Paradox Interactive (who've worked on a variety of PC titles you've never heard of), claims to know what Starbreeze's Syndicate remake is all about.
In an interview with Kotaku, Wester says that so far the title is "more of a like a [sic] GTA wannabe than it's like the original game."
Of course, we have no idea what Wester's actually seen or if he's hearing this second hand – or if he's even making it up. Still, we have a feeling that this isn't what fans of the original isometric tactical title want to hear.
