Square Enix Will Distribute Dead Island In North America
Ever since its debut trailer earlier this year, zombie game Dead Island has been building more buzz than is normal for European publisher Deep Silver. Perhaps that is the reason that Deep Silver has signed a distribution deal with Square Enix.
Square Enix will now be handling the distribution and marketing for Dead Island on all platforms in North and South America. Deep Silver COO Geoff Mulligan explained the decision:
"Square Enix’s impressive distribution and marketing capabilities, combined with their proven success with launching top-notch AAA titles, makes them the absolute best partner for Dead Island. We’re thrilled to be partnering with their dedicated and talented team and look forward to collaborating with them in order to bring Dead Island to gamers."
Dead Island is expected to release later this year for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. With E3 quickly approaching, we'll hopefully have more time with the anticipated title soon.
