Castlevania Reverie DLC Hit PSN “In Error”

by Tim Turi on Mar 31, 2011 at 06:38 AM

Are you a PlayStation 3-owning Castlevania fan who downloaded Lords of Shadow’s oft-delayed Reverie DLC when it unexpectedly hit PSN last week? If so, consider yourself lucky, because that happened by accident.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow producer David Cox has been active on his Twitter explaining the confusing situation. “Update: We are testing a fix for the 360 issue and it's looking good,” wrote Cox. “Sorry for the delay and thanks for your patience.”

One upset European fan questioned why the European PS3 version is being held back because of 360 bugs, to which Cox responded that the U.S. PS3 DLC was “put up there in error and it's too late to take it down. I sympathise it's not the best situation.” So it was never meant to go live in the first place, and that's why the European version is being held back, too.

If you’re starting to get the feeling that there are some issues plaguing Konami or Lords of Shadow developer MercurySteam, you’d be right. Concerning the mishaps, Cox said “As you yanks say...it's a clusterf***!”

As of this writing, Lords of Shadow’s Resurrection DLC is still due out in April. We’re crossing our fingers that these technical snafus don’t delay that game as well.
