Job Posting May Hint At Online Component For God Of War
Sony Computer Entertainment America’s Santa Monica branch is searching for a new senior online programmer, hinting at possible multiplayer functionality in a future God of War title. The intriguing part of the post dictates that responsibilities include “designing and implementing systems and tools to support networking needs (such as in-game communication, client-server, match-making, leaderboards).”
The job listing boasts an image of God of War protagonist Kratos, and invites applicants to “join the God of War team!” We don’t know if the God of War team has moved onto greener IP pastures, or if another God of War title is actually in the works, however. All we can confirm is that Sony Santa Monica is interested in expansion.
