The lights are on
The folks behind Rooster Teeth's brilliant web series Immersion are back again, and this time they're looking at whether or not the Left 4 Dead scenario of average people taking up weapons against the undead is realistic.
This test by Immersion is decidedly unscientific, but more importantly it's hilarious and pretty awesome. Oh, and it features some hella impressive watermelon carvings like the one above. Watch! Enjoy!
hahaha i love how they just tooled on the hunting guy
I already act like a zombie in real life (shun bright lights, shamble along at a slow pace, have an intense craving for brains etc.) so I think I'll fit right in.
Yeah.. I would get mauled.
by far the coolest watermelon ever!!
Two semi-automatic pistols, a sniper rifle, and a katana! I'm living through the night!
Awesome video, I'll take an assault rifle, a pistol, and a machete and I'd be good for a while.
Thats awesome, thankfully my dad has a sawed off double barrel shotgun down stairs and a katana from when he went to Japan, so yeah im prepared. And yes i've planned this all out dont judge me.
If you have any sense of humor whatsoever go to roosterteeth.com and just watch the whole season. I have never seen something so riotous and ridiculous in the name of science. Just a *** awesome show.
How Would The Average Gamer Fare Against Zombies?
i think most gamers would be 1st: fearful. then a bit cocky which is going to get yourself killed pretty quickly.
are most gamers focused? on all aspects of the situation? or is it guns blazing most of the time?
if the zombie apocalypse is like '28 days', you better have your head on super straight and can run your ass off for an extended period of time. (most gamers seem reluctant to go outside and move thier bodies, at least the ones i know and play with)
if the zombie apocalypse is like all the other flix you still better have your head on straight.
thinking before acting is a must. you have to know your exits and safe zones. flying blind and cornering yourself is doom. 'strength in numbers' is not just a cliche, but most players think their han solo. so if you aren't bred for war to begin with, a few moving buddies is going to extend your life.
communication is key, again most gamers are closed lip. so start opening your jowls to the situation not fluff of water cooler talk. (i play a lot of online games and most players want to talk about stuff they watched on tv or smack about people they have an issue with or even worse, work.) games that are team based are grounded in communication. read the situation and succinctly convey important info to your comrades. talking about anything else can be deadly.
yes, pick up a gun and learn how to use it properly, then practice to get proficient.
1st time you get with a woman your not going to be a rock star, you need to work at it to be a stud.
better yet pick up something other then a boom stick and get good at swinging because silence is golden.
if the zombies don't rise up but our system of living suddenly falls apart, it will feel like the zombie apocalypse and all of these points plus so much more is going to keep yourself breathing.
stay strong, stay focused!
i love the irony in the end with the human eating the zombie's brains
Lol. I want to do this! :)
I loved the coin toss.
I bet the interns who had to carve the watermelons were pissed when they found out their purpose.
I love Rooster Teeth so much. Can't wait to meet them again at PAX East.
i think when a flesh eating zombie is comin at you regardless if you have firearm experience or not.your either gonna instantly start kickin zombie a$$ if you dont wanna become a human happy meal,oh and when a zombie Apocalypse strikes the first thing im gonna do is get a Twinkie
that was pretty good
I saw this a while ago, I subscribed to their youtube channel and it is awesome! I thought it was kinda scientific in the fact that they got someone experienced, semi-experienced, and non-experienced with guns and looked at how well they hit the target. Grif was so hilarious in this one!
All except for Dead Space...
Wow that shotgun packs a brutal punch.
