The lights are on
Last night I stirred up controversy by calmly explaining to Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto that Super Mario Bros. 3 is actually the best Mario game. Today, as though to help prove my point, a fan has released a trailer of his new project: a full remake of Super Mario Bros. 3 using the New Super Mario Bros. engine.
YouTube user SKJmin has posted this "final trailer" of New Super Mario Bros. 3, his remake of Mario Bros. 3 in the New Super Mario Bros. style. The trailer is 15 minutes long and showcases many of SMB3's most memorable levels...and a few surprising additions from other Mario and Nintendo games.
Check out the video below. SKJmin says the game itself will be available for download this Friday, but download it at your own risk since it's not licensed by Nintendo.
Don't fight Marios! You're both pretty.
oh man, this looks insanely awesome.
Aww, no racoon mario.
that looks like pure awesomeness wrapped in a fat Mario package.
Gah, Super Mario Bros. 3 makes me curse more than any other game, ever. But not because it's bad, but because I suck at it. Heck one of my girl friends kicks my ass everytime we play it together.
But anyway, looks awesome, hope you have success with this mod!
I'd buy it!
Wow...that was awesome. Some of the graphics were easily recognizable as not Nintendo's work though, still looks amazingly fun. Idk how he is ever going to get away with this and not get sued.
looks awesome.this trailer totally reminds me that mario bros 2 is like the hardest one by far...
Amazing, I Hope Nintendo buys this
I loved Super Mario Bros. 3 but my favorite was always Super Mario World. The first Mario game I played was SMB3 but the first one I really understood and enjoyed was Super Mario World. I really wanna play this one though.
Yaaaay! I know someone who would want this for Christmas...
This is really cool
Dan! Do another Super Replay on this! See how different it is to play the modern version of Super Mario Bros 3 and if you can beat Bowser more quickly than you did last time.
Oh my god. There's no way Nintendo's gonna keep of of this gold mine
BIG question... Is this a PC only flash type game? Or can it be ran on Wii or DS??
why the super double dragon music in a mario game
Yikes. This looks like a lot of work. I hope he doesn't get sued. But then again, there are plenty of flash versions of various Super Mario games that haven't been attacked by Nintendo, so...
