The lights are on
We already knew that Blizzard's upcoming third World of Warcraft expansion, Cataclysm, is going to change the face of Azeroth forever. One of the biggest changes? The popular MMO will now feature a quest line with its own interpretation of the popular casual game, Plants vs. Zombies.
The new series of quests can be found in the redesigned Hillsbrad Foothills, a zone that's been in World of Warcraft from the beginning. As you work through the quests, you'll unlock different plants, including WOW equivalents of the sunflower, peashooter, snow pea, wall-nut, and the chomper. It even has a final boss and a repeatable Endless Mode once you've finished the quest line!
Upon completion of the quest, players are rewarded with a ton of experience, new equipment, and a sunflower pet that will follow them around. Want to see it in action? Check out this video from Total Biscuit:

still on the fence about starting up wow again. i was a little dissappointed with wotlk so im still unsure about this. hopefully its better, but i guess we'll just have to wait and see
That is too awesome!
According to WoW Insider the sunflower will sing when inactive.
Sure to be a much more pleaserable sound coming from a mini-pet than everyones current favorite singer, Lil' XT.
WOW that's really awesome.
haha blatant copyright infringement, but AWESOME!
O sweet I cant wait :)
I'd still rather play the original
Ripoff fail....they prob think this quest will bring in more players which mean more money for Blizzard......
i dont know what to say but i might have to play just to do this
Now that's a mashup!
Is this really one of the "biggest" changes? One of the more interesting changes, maybe, but I'd hardly call it the biggest.
If it's done as well as the chess event from kara this should be pretty fun.
That's awesome, but I like the 16bit graphics better.
I'm a fan of Plants vs. Zombies. I'm glad they're including it in the new expansion!
So I assume this is actually directly related to Plants vs. Zombies right?
doesn't blizzard have better things to be doing?
this is really randomly cool
