Latest Deus Ex Trailer Envisions A Dark Near Future

Fans of the Deus Ex franchise have been anxiously awaiting information since a third entry in the FPS/stealth/RPG hybrid series was announced back in 2007. The game is moving along now, though, which means we've finally got the first full-length trailer for the game.

Though it's light on gameplay, things are looking quite interesting. The trailer showcases all the conspiracies, cybernetic limbs, and power-hungry government forces that we'd expect from a Deus Ex game while throwing in some suggestive mythological symbolism to boot. Check it out below.

If you want to know more about Deus Ex: Human Revolution, hit up the preview in the soon-to-be-released July issue of the magazine and stay tuned for further coverage in a couple of weeks from E3.

  • Wow. So the Hiatus is over, or is this one of those trailers that comes out 4 years before the game?
  • now i would watch that movie! too bad it's just a game...

all that aside it looks great. very VERY light on gameplay (if there was any). this game will probably be out between late 2011 and late 2012. too long for me to care anymore.

  • oh wow, that sure is visually detailed. looks very interesting.

  • i think its coming out early 2011, not for sure though

  • well, that's certainly a good looking trailer. Here's hoping the game is just as impressive in motion!

  • Giggidy!

  • ... good

  • That is effing awesome. Loved the original. "Enjoyed" the sequel. I really hope they can pull of all the things implied in that trailer.

At first I was like, "Is it cold in here?"  But then I realized it was just the trailer giving me the chills.  I was not anticipating a new Deus Ex game until just now.

This teaser also has me looking forward to the year 2027.  In just 17 short years we can have bionic arms and invisibility!  I wonder if we can have hotdog hair too.

  • I'm sitting here watching this trailer, completely mesmerized... and thinking "I am enjoying this way too much. I know I loved the original Deus Ex... by why is this so badass???" And then I put it together; it has a Metal Gear vibe going on.

This just shot to my #1 spot.

  • The trailer looks awesome as hell.  Got me really interested in the game (haven't played the previous ones). Is Square Enix the company making the game?  Because that has me kind of worried... Sure, the graphics look top notch and all, and the game looks to be cinematic, but what about the gameplay.... Square doesn't exactly have the best record with non-rpg games....

  • I forgot about this. I'm very happy. In fact, I'm going to make a Megadeth mix tape for this game and hand it to her at recess so she'll see how much I like her.
  • Blade Runner: The Game. Sweet!

  • hmmm
